EHL is the world's first hotel school, founded in 1893 as Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne. In 2025, for the seventh year in a row, EHL Hospitality Business School was ranked the world's best hotel management school by QS World University Rankings for Hospitality and Leisure Management.

EHL has also received the award for “best innovation in education” at the Worldwide Hospitality Awards 2019 for the Bachelor in International Hospitality Management program, following a multi-campus study options and the entrepreneurial support provided to the students.

Berceau des Sens

Our fine dining restaurant offers a modern epicurean experience that appeals to all five senses. Here, students learn to cook and serve fine food and drink under the leadership of chef Lucrèce Lacchio. It was the first educational restaurant in Switzerland to receive a Michelin star and holds a 17/20 rating in the Gault & Millau gastronomy guidebook.

It is open for lunch and dinner from Monday to Friday, and the cocktail bar and lounge are open from 6:00 to 11:00 pm.

Our restaurant, named 1893 for the year EHL was founded, flawlessly combines the retro atmosphere of a French brasserie with a modern menu of local, seasonal cuisine. Here, under the creative direction of chef Michel de Matteis, students learn the art of bistro-style culinary arts and service.

It is open for lunch and dinner from Monday to Friday .
